Ingredients
Chicken
- 1 cup chicken
- 1 tsp cumin (jeera)
- Salt, pepper and lemon juice
- 1 tsp red chillies
- 1/2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tsp aromat
- 1 tsp ghee
Tomato sauce
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 level tsp ground garlic
- 1/2 tsp green chillies
- 2 large tomatoes or half tin of canned tomatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- Salt, turmeric powder, pinch of chilli powder
Macaroni
- 2 cups macaroni
- 3/4 cup mixed vegetables
- 1 tsp salt
White sauce
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- Cheese, grated
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients and cook on low heat. Once cooked, set aside.
- For the tomato sauce, braise the onions in ghee, add the green chillies, spices and salt, and finally add tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are mushy and the moisture evaporates. Set aside.
- Boil macaroni for slightly less than the packet time. Set aside.
- Melt butter, add flour and whisk. Slowly add milk and whisk until there are no clumps. Once boiling, take off heat and add cheese.
- Mix the macaroni, chicken and tomato sauce together into a dish. Add the white sauce and then sprinkle some more grated cheese on top.
- Bake in the oven for 20 mins or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
