Prep time: 5 minutes, Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 1 tbsp garlic, crushed
- ½ tsp dried chilli flakes, or ½ red finger chilli chopped finely
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp lemon juice, or more to taste
- Approx. 150g pack of raw jumbo king prawns, peeled
- (optional) flat-leaf parsley as garnish
Instructions
- On medium high heat, melt butter and cook garlic with chilli or chilli powder.
- When garlic starts to brown, add the tomato puree and cook for another two to three minutes.
- Add lemon juice and try to cook out as much of the liquid as possible.
- Tip in the prawns and cook until pink. The water from the prawns will turn the rest of the ingredients into more of a soup.
- Add salt and more lemon juice to taste. Cook out the soup until it reaches the desired level of thickness. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Tips
- Dough balls go well with this dish, to soak up the soup.
- The ingredient volumes here are rough estimates. Feel free to adapt.
