Barfi

Ingredients

  • 500g Nido powder
  • 1 small tin Nestle cream
  • 250ml fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup water
  • Rose water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Nido powder and small tin of Nestle cream, and leave for few hours. Then sieve and make kankas.
  2. Boil the fresh cream and other tin of Nestle cream to make mava. Add 2 tablespoon butter into mavas.
  3. Boil sugar, water and rose water until thin threadlike consistency.
  4. Add mava and kankas to syrup and mix.

Tips

Kanka - This is when the mixture solidifies slightly making a crumbly texture

Mava - When the mixture turns think and becomes a single mass
